Bismarck man out on bond severely beats neighbor, assaults woman, resists arrest

BISMARCK, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A 33-year-old Bismarck man, out on bond for less than four hours, launched a vicious attack on a woman and severely beat a neighbor who intervened.

Bismarck Police responded Thursday night to a chaotic scene in a residential area where they found a 43-year-old man unconscious and bleeding from a head wound. The man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Witnesses reported that the suspect had strangled a 36-year-old woman multiple times, causing her to lose consciousness, and threatened her life.

When neighbors attempted to stop the assault, the suspect turned on them, brutally slamming one man’s head into the street and repeatedly striking him.

During the arrest, the man violently resisted, even kicking an officer in the genitals. He is now held at the Burleigh Morton Detention Center, facing charges including Attempted Homicide, Aggravated Assault, and Assault on a Police Officer. Shockingly, he had just been released on bond for a prior assault and contact violation.
