What investigators allege
The complaint says the incident happened around 9:13 a.m. on February 25, 2026.
It happened at a home in Bena, according to the filing.
Authorities say Leech Lake Child Welfare had a court order for two juveniles.
The juveniles are identified as C.M.B. and R.O.K. in the complaint.
Police and child welfare workers entered the home, the complaint says.
Investigators say the juveniles were found in a crawl space.
The filing says the scene grew loud and tense.
Officers then tried to detain the juveniles, according to the complaint.
Investigators say one juvenile resisted during restraint.
The complaint says Gotchie and one juvenile joined the struggle.
Authorities allege there was pushing and shoving during the struggle.
A deputy reported a shoulder injury, the complaint says.
Authorities say all three were handcuffed and controlled.
Worker knocked unconscious
The complaint says Gotchie was cuffed with her hands in front.
Investigators say she partly broke free while leaving the home.
Authorities allege she shoved two child welfare workers to the ground.
The workers are identified as H.B. and K.B. in the filing.
The complaint says H.B. hit her head on packed snow.
Investigators say H.B. lost consciousness after the fall.
An ambulance was requested, according to the complaint.
Charges filed
Count one is third-degree assault with substantial bodily harm, a felony.
Count two is fourth-degree assault of a public employee, a gross misdemeanor.
Count three is obstructing legal process with force, a gross misdemeanor.
Count four is fifth-degree assault, a misdemeanor.
All charges are allegations, and Gotchie is presumed innocent.
