Bemidji Woman Charged with Burglary and Assault in Stabbing Incident

BEMIDJI, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – We have an update regarding our weekend report of a stabbing in Bemidji, Minnesota. Mary Lou Hardy, 54, is now facing a felony charge of first-degree burglary and assault of a person in a building. According to court documents, late Friday night, police responded to the Skyline trailer park in Bemidji for a reported stabbing. The male victim answered the door holding a rag to the left side of his head, covered in blood. He stated he was sleeping on the couch when Hardy broke into his home and stabbed him in the back of the head. The knife, found in the kitchen, had blood on the blade. Hardy was arrested at her nearby home and claimed the victim was a stalker and that she defended herself. The charge against Hardy carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
