BEMIDJI, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A Bemidji woman is facing a felony charge after admitting to flattening the tires on multiple vehicles in a local parking lot.
Shequila R. Medicine of Bemidji has been charged with first-degree criminal damage to property. According to court documents, officers responded on November 7th to a report of vandalism at 916 30th Street Northwest in Bemidji.
Police found that multiple vehicles in the lot had flattened tires. Surveillance video reportedly showed Medicine at the scene. When questioned, she admitted to the act, explaining she was angry at a tenant who had previously damaged her vehicle and owed her money.
Medicine told officers she did not know which vehicle belonged to the person she was upset with, so she decided to flatten a tire on each vehicle present. Officers located a tire reamer inside her car.
She was later arrested and booked into the Beltrami County Jail. The case remains under review by the county attorney’s office.
