Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me) Natasha Jean Nevitt of Bemidji has been charged in Beltrami County District Court after a March 19, 2026, incident that led to a felony DWI refusal count and a gross misdemeanor driving count.
Charges Filed
According to the criminal complaint, Nevitt, 45, is charged with refusing a chemical test and driving after cancellation that was listed as inimical to public safety.
The complaint says the case was filed in the Ninth Judicial District under court file 04-CR-26-686.
Prosecutors allege Nevitt was in control of a running vehicle in Bemidji on March 19.

What Investigators Alleged
The complaint says officers responded to a report of a person honking a vehicle horn near 409 Wood Avenue SE.
When authorities arrived, they found a running vehicle with Natasha Jean Nevitt inside.
Court records say she showed several signs of impairment.
Those signs included slurred speech, watery eyes, poor balance, and slow responses.
The complaint says Nevitt admitted she had been drinking earlier.
She then agreed to some field sobriety testing.
A preliminary breath test later showed an alleged alcohol concentration of 0.246, according to the complaint.
Refusal Allegation
Investigators say Natasha Jean Nevitt was taken to the Beltrami County Jail.
The complaint states she was given access to contact an attorney.
It also says she later refused to take a formal breath test.
That refusal led to the felony count in this case.
Prior Record Cited
The complaint also says her license status was cancelled.
Authorities further cited a prior felony DWI conviction and a prior DAC-IPS conviction.
Those prior cases are listed in the complaint as part of the background.
Case Status
These are criminal charges only. They are not a conviction.
Formal charges and case records can be reviewed through the Minnesota Judicial Branch.
