BEMIDJI, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — A Bemidji woman is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly taking a family member’s car and credit card without permission for an unauthorized shopping trip.
According to court documents, Danielle Kinder-Swan of Bemidji has been charged with felony theft of a motor vehicle and felony financial transaction card fraud.
Investigators say that on October 11, a family member reported that Kinder-Swan had taken their vehicle and credit card without consent. She allegedly used the card to make approximately $1,145 in unauthorized purchases at various locations around Bemidji.
The victim told police the suspect did not have permission to use either the car or the card. Officers later located the vehicle and confirmed multiple transactions linked to the stolen credit card.
Kinder-Swan was later arrested and charged in Beltrami County District Court. The case remains under investigation.
