Bemidji, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — Man Arrested After Alleged Break-In Attempt at Woman’s Home!
Derek Bluecoat of Bemidji, Minnesota, is facing serious criminal charges after allegedly attempting to break into the home of a Beltrami County woman who had a protection order against him.
According to court documents, on March 10th, law enforcement responded to a disturbance at the woman’s residence, where they found the front door frame damaged. Bluecoat allegedly attempted to force entry despite the active protection order.
When officers attempted to arrest him, he became combative, requiring multiple officers to place him into the squad vehicle. At the jail, Bluecoat registered a 2.6 blood alcohol level on a preliminary test—more than three times the legal limit for driving.
Bluecoat is now charged with: Felony attempted first-degree burglary
Gross misdemeanor violation of a no-contact order
Gross misdemeanor property damage
The case remains under investigation.
