Bemidji, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — A Bemidji man learned the hard way that breaking into an ex’s apartment can end with a frying pan to the head!
According to court documents, Austin B. Tischman allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment in the early hours of February 21, 2025. The victim, startled awake, found Tischman on top of her in bed. She reported that he tried to take her phone, possibly to prevent her from calling for help.
But this wasn’t the first time he had broken in. The victim was prepared, keeping a frying pan near the door for such emergencies. She grabbed it and struck Tischman, leaving behind blood on her hands, sleeves, the frying pan, and the floor.
By the time police arrived, Tischman had fled the scene, but officers tracked him down and arrested him shortly after.
Charges Filed Against Austin B. Tischman:
Felony Burglary (Unlawful entry with intent to commit a crime)
Gross Misdemeanor – Interfering with a 911 Call
Law enforcement has not released further details on his court proceedings, but Tischman now faces serious legal consequences.
This is a developing story. Stay tuned for updates!
