Bemidji Man Faces Felony Terroristic Threats Charge After Alleged Racial Slurs

Bemidji, MN – A Bemidji man, Robert T. Ayotte, is facing a felony charge of terroristic threats after allegedly sending multiple racial slurs and violent messages via text on February 16.

According to court documents, the incident occurred at 2:28 a.m. at a Bemidji bar, where an African American man reported that Ayotte had texted his friend a series of disturbing and racially charged messages. The texts allegedly included racial slurs and threats such as “piece of s— nr”, “F— that Jamaican dirty rug a— nr”, and “Come to my house, I’ll cap his a— up if he wants to start some s—.”

Authorities reviewed the messages, leading to Ayotte being charged with felony terroristic threats. The case remains under investigation as legal proceedings move forward.
