BEMIDJI, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A juvenile female fell prey to a predator who lured her through Snapchat. The 34-year-old Eric Lopez of Bemidji, Minnesota has been charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a victim under the age of 14 and felon in possession of firearms. The young girl reported meeting Lopez on Snapchat and went to his residence at 31113 Street Northwest in Bemidji. She remembered taking a drink and consuming a pill that was offered, but couldn’t fully recall the incident due to being drugged. However, she recalled being taken upstairs where Lopez allegedly removed her clothing and had sexual intercourse with her. Upon receiving information about the incident, police obtained a search warrant for Lopez’s residence and found him in possession of a pistol and rifle which he was not allowed to possess due to his prior felony conviction involving a crime of violence. Lopez admitted to having sexual acts with the victim and broke down in tears when informed about her age, claiming that he did not know she was so young.
