Bemidji, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — A Bemidji man faces burglary and assault charges after a reported home break-in on Jan. 24.
Court documents say Cody D. Friebohle entered a residence and attacked a man inside. The victim said Friebohle punched his head and face. Police noted and photographed injuries, the filing says.
The suspect left before officers arrived, according to the complaint. The victim and a woman said they forced Friebohle out. The woman told police she was the victim’s ex-girlfriend. Officers later found Friebohle and arrested him, court papers say.
What court papers say
The complaint says the home was entered without consent. It says the victim was inside at the time. It says an assault happened right after entry.
Police reports often rely on statements and early evidence. More details can come out in court. Prosecutors must still prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Charges filed
Friebohle is charged with first-degree burglary, according to court records. He also faces a felony assault count. Court papers list an additional felony burglary count. He also faces misdemeanor domestic assault and misdemeanor assault charges.
