Details of the incident
Court papers say D. Seki crashed a car into a ditch early Wednesday.
Deputies were sent to Irvine Avenue and Island View Drive at about 1:17 a.m. on January 14, 2026.

A deputy reported Seki nearly fell while walking.
The deputy also reported slurred speech and poor balance.
The complaint says vomit was visible on Seki’s clothes.
The deputy reported bloodshot eyes and a strong smell of alcohol.
Seki told the deputy he had “a few drinks,” according to the complaint.

Testing and charge
A roadside breath test showed 0.217, the complaint says.
Deputies did not run standard field tests because of the cold.
Wind chill was about minus 23 degrees, the complaint says.
The complaint says Seki lacked proper winter clothing.
Seki was arrested and taken to the Beltrami County Jail, court papers say.
A final breath test there showed 0.23, according to the complaint.
