Bemidji, Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me) — Bemidji fire crews responded to a reported fire near Lake Bemidji Tuesday night.

Video received around 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, showed emergency response activity by the waterfront.

The reported location was near Paul Bunyan Park, close to the Paul Bunyan and Babe statues.

Officials have not released confirmed details on injuries, damage, or the cause.

What we know so far

Early information indicated crews were working along the lake area near the park.

There were also unconfirmed reports of a makeshift camp in the area earlier in the day.

Those reports said the camp was removed, then later returned.

TRF News has not independently confirmed those details.

At this time, it is not clear what started the fire.
