BELTRAMI COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) — A Bemidji woman is facing a felony charge after deputies say she led them on a high-speed chase that reached 120 miles per hour and passed a stopped school bus that was unloading children.

Court documents identify the driver as Jennifer C. Frach, of Bemidji. She is charged with felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle.

The incident occurred on November 11 at about 3:35 p.m. A Beltrami County deputy attempted a traffic stop after observing reckless driving. According to the complaint, Frach accelerated away instead of pulling over.

The pursuit reached speeds of 120 mph on public roads. Deputies reported that Frach drove past a school bus that was stopped to unload children. The complaint states she drove past the bus twice while failing to stop.

Deputies continued the pursuit as Frach headed toward the Bemidji Regional Airport. She eventually drove through an airport gate, damaging the gate and disabling her vehicle. The complaint says Frach then exited the vehicle and began walking away.

A deputy ordered her to stop. Frach was taken into custody without further incident. Deputies searched the vehicle and documented damage to the airport property. No injuries were reported.

Frach now faces a felony fleeing charge, which carries significant penalties in Minnesota. Information about Minnesota’s fleeing laws can be found at
the Minnesota Statutes website.

The case remains active in Beltrami County District Court. Additional details may be filed as the investigation continues. Court records did not list a future hearing date at the time of this report.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.
