Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me) — A shocking arrest in northern Minnesota as Samuel Staples was booked into the Beltrami County Jail on March 21, 2025, facing charges of gross misdemeanor theft under Minnesota Statute 609.52.2(a)(1). Authorities allege that Staples took or used movable property without consent, a charge often associated with vehicle theft, shoplifting, or unauthorized possession.

Staples, described as 5’8”, 230 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes, remains in custody with no bail set. He is currently awaiting a court appearance in District Court, though a specific date has not yet been disclosed.
