Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me) – A Bemidji man is now facing two felony robbery charges after an October incident at a city park.
According to a criminal complaint, the case involves Vincent W. Wilson Jr. of Bemidji.
Prosecutors say the incident happened on October 24 near the entrance to North Country Park.
The park is a popular outdoor area on the north side of Bemidji.

Court records say two men were walking near the park entrance that night.
A vehicle pulled up close to them.
Investigators say Wilson was one of the people inside the vehicle.
According to the complaint, Wilson got out of the vehicle and went toward the men.
The victims told officers that Wilson began to punch and hit them.
They reported being knocked to the ground during the attack.
The complaint says both victims were struck several times.
After the assault, items were taken from the victims.
Two cell phones and a pair of shoes were reported stolen.
The men later contacted law enforcement and described what happened.
Investigators reviewed surveillance video from the area.
They also collected statements from the victims and other witnesses.
According to the complaint, that work led officers to Vincent Wilson.
He was later identified as a suspect and taken into custody.

Prosecutors have now charged Wilson with two felony counts of simple robbery.
Under Minnesota law, simple robbery involves taking property by using or threatening force.

Simple robbery is a felony level crime and can bring prison time.
The case will proceed in Beltrami County District Court.
