Beltrami County IT Director, Previously Charged on Tuesday, Passes Away Before Dismissal of Charges

BEMIDJI, MN (trfnews.i234.me) Beltrami County’s former IT Director was charged with a string of felony crimes on Tuesday. Now he’s deceased. No word on his cause of death. Charges in the case have been dismissed.
on Tuesday 64 year old Ronald Pula the former director of Beltrami County’s I.T Department was charged with 14 felony counts of fraud receiving stolen property and theft he’s now deceased no word on his cause of death according to court documents the investigation began on October 21st of 2021 for incidents going back to 2019. Hulu was a longtime employee of Beltrami County and the head of its I.T Department including the repair and purchasing of anything I.T related employees reported computers and other equipment were shipped to pula’s Residence and or simply carried away bipula and never returned the investigation also revealed many items purchased from Amazon were sent directly to his home address Pula had also owned a Farm property at 37251 Willow Creek Road Northeast in Beltrami County near kellier on February 28th of 2022 a search warrant was conducted at his property at 39.79 Grange Road Northwest in Beltrami County authorities seized over 200 items he allegedly purchased with County funds floodlights uh Power Tools a smart watch computers and other electronic equipment that same day another search was conducted at his Farm property at 37251 Willow Creek Road Northeast near kellier 90 more items were seized that were alleged allegedly purchased with County funds and now all those charges are relevant as Ronald Pula is deceased no word on his cause of death I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me

  1. Was this Pula? Bemidji Pioneer β€” A Beltrami County Jail inmate has been hospitalized after attempting to commit suicide on Wednesday in Bemidji.

    According to a release from Beltrami County Sheriff Ernie Beitel, at approximately 11:34 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, an inmate of the Beltrami County Jail was found by staff attempting to take their own life.

    Corrections officers and medical staff immediately rendered aid. The inmate was taken by ambulance to the emergency room at the Sanford Bemidji Medical Center and was later transferred to a Fargo area medical facility.

    The incident is currently being investigated by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension at the request of Beitel, the release said.

    No further information about the incident is available at this time, and inquiries can be directed to the BCA's information officer.

  2. Ha, another example of management stealing. Yet the rank and file regular Joe workers are always blamed first for theft. When you have a theft problem, always start at the top of the organization, that’s where the greed is worst.

  3. interesting. I knew ron before i retired from the complex he worked at. he seemed like a decent person. smells a little fishy to me. the changes and the death are too coincidental. curious for more details later this year
