Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me)—A single-vehicle accident occurred on Highway 34 near milepost 63 in Carsonville Township on the afternoon of January 25, 2025. The vehicle, a 2023 Ford Ranger traveling eastbound, lost control and entered the south ditch before rolling over and coming to rest on its driver’s side facing north.
Authorities reported that road conditions were dry at the time of the crash. Local agencies responding to the scene included the Becker County Sheriff’s Office, Carsonville Fire Department, and Essentia Ambulance.
The driver, Kolby Dejuan Jones, 21, of Valley City, ND, was wearing a seatbelt and emerged uninjured. Two passengers were in the vehicle. Calvin Dewitt Alford Hickman, 21, of Fargo, ND, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Essentia Hospital in Detroit Lakes. The second passenger, Jamarion Marquise Clark, 20, of West Fargo, ND, also wearing a seatbelt, was unharmed.
No alcohol was involved in the incident. The vehicle’s airbags deployed as intended, contributing to the safety of the occupants.
