Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — Samantha Elizabeth Iceman, 24, of Ogema, Minnesota, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for gross misdemeanor domestic assault. A felony second-degree assault charge was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
According to court records, on March 14, 2024, at approximately 9:54 p.m., a White Earth police officer responded to a residence in the village of White Earth following a report of an assault. An adult male at the scene reported that Iceman, his girlfriend, had returned home intoxicated and became agitated. During an argument, she allegedly grabbed a knife from the kitchen and threw it at him before retreating to a bedroom. The officer found the bedroom empty with an open window, indicating Iceman had fled.
A warrant for Iceman’s arrest was issued on June 6, 2024, and served on June 27, 2024. She had a prior conviction for domestic assault in 2023.
On April 14, 2025, Iceman was sentenced to 364 days in the Becker County Jail, with 349 days stayed for two years. She was ordered to serve 15 days, with credit for one day served. Additionally, she was placed on supervised probation for two years, during which she must abstain from possessing or using firearms, ammunition, explosives, drugs, alcohol, or other mood-altering chemicals, except for prescribed medications. Iceman is required to complete a domestic violence program if available; otherwise, she must undergo a mental health assessment and follow all recommendations. She was also fined $500 plus $160 in court fees.
