Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — Seth Isaac Raymond King, 46, of Detroit Lakes, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony fifth-degree drug possession.
On January 18, 2024, a Becker County sheriff’s deputy went to a residence on Lyman Lakes Road in rural Becker County to locate King for an active felony warrant. After several knocks, King answered the door and was arrested. During a search, the deputy found a folded dollar bill in King’s front right pocket containing a crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine. Field testing confirmed the substance was meth, weighing approximately 1.29 grams with packaging.
On March 26, 2025, King was sentenced to 12 months in prison at St. Cloud, stayed for five years. He was also ordered to serve 50 days in the Becker County Jail, with credit for 50 days served.
King was placed on supervised probation for five years with conditions prohibiting the possession or use of firearms, ammunition, explosives, drugs, alcohol, or other mood-altering chemicals, except for prescribed medication. He must complete a comprehensive assessment and follow all recommendations, including aftercare.
Additionally, King was fined $500 plus $160 in court fees.
