Becker County, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) – A Detroit Lakes man is in serious legal trouble after being caught driving drunk with a 0.20 blood alcohol concentration and a history of two prior DWI convictions.

According to a criminal complaint, Bradey Russell Okeson, 29, was pulled over by Becker County Deputy Benjamin Bruce on June 29, 2025, around 2:45 AM. Okeson was reportedly speeding, weaving, and making suspicious turns on County Highway 21. Once stopped, the deputy detected a strong odor of alcohol, noted Okeson’s slurred speech, and observed bloodshot, watery eyes.

Okeson admitted to drinking “probably too many” beers at multiple bars in Fargo. He failed field sobriety tests and blew 0.20 on a preliminary breath test.

He now faces two gross misdemeanor charges:

  1. Second-Degree DWI – BAC 0.08+ within 2 hours, and

  2. Second-Degree DWI – Under the Influence of Alcohol,
each carrying up to 364 days in jail and/or a $3,000 fine.

Okeson has two prior DWI convictions from 2016 and 2021.
