Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — In a disturbing incident at the Becker County Jail in Detroit Lakes, 33-year-old Ramsey Louis Kettle of Fergus Falls is facing serious charges following an unprovoked attack on a fellow inmate.
According to court documents, on April 16, Kettle approached another inmate from behind while the victim was watching television and began punching him repeatedly. The assault was captured on the facility’s security cameras. The victim sustained injuries believed to be consistent with a concussion and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Kettle has been charged with both felony and misdemeanor assault in connection with the incident. This event adds to Kettle’s history of legal troubles; he was previously arrested on December 18, 2024, facing charges including first-degree arson, aggravated robbery, and assault.
