Becker County Horror: Detroit Lakes Teen Accused of Violent Apartment Rape While Using Fake Identity – Arrested at Restaurant

Detroit Lakes, Becker County (trfnews.i234.me) – A shocking case has surfaced in Detroit Lakes, where Carliezer Naun Barreda Salgado, 19, is facing multiple felony sexual assault charges after allegedly forcing himself onto a woman he worked with at a local restaurant — all while reportedly using a fake name on the job.

According to court documents, on March 29, a Detroit Lakes police officer responded to an assault report. The victim, a woman who worked with Salgado at the restaurant, disclosed a terrifying series of events that began on February 11 at a shared apartment paid for by the restaurant’s owners.

That night, the woman went to use the restroom when Salgado allegedly violently forced the door open, bruising her leg in the process. Nearly six weeks later, the officer confirmed the bruise was still visible — a grim reminder of what followed.

The report details that Salgado then pinned the woman to the ground and raped her, ignoring her attempts to resist. The woman, fearing she might be pregnant, later sought medical help and provided paperwork from her clinic visit to the officer.

In an effort to identify the suspect, the officer accompanied the woman back to the restaurant. Despite Salgado’s alleged use of a false identity with his employer, police successfully located and arrested him.

Salgado is charged with:

  • Two counts of felony third-degree criminal sexual conduct

  • One count of felony fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct

He is scheduled to make his first court appearance on May 8, before District Court Judge Michelle W. Lawson in Becker County District Court.
