Becker & Clay Counties: Zhiwar Ismail Arrested for Drug Possession, Aiding an Offender, and Firearm Charge

Becker & Clay Counties (trfnews.i234.me) — Zhiwar Ismail, age 36, was arrested on February 24, 2025, in a coordinated effort involving the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and the Moorhead Police Department.

Charges filed:

Becker County Sheriff’s Office:

  • 5th Degree Controlled Substance Possession – Schedule 1, 2, 3, 4 Not Small Amount Marijuana

Moorhead Police Department:

  • Aiding an Offender to Avoid Arrest – Harbor or Conceal

  • Possess Firearm / Ammunition – Convicted Violent Crime

Authorities allege that Ismail was found in possession of illegal narcotics, harbored a wanted individual, and unlawfully possessed a firearm as a previously convicted violent offender.

Ismail is being held pending additional court proceedings in both counties.
