Otter Tail County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A Battle Lake man is facing a gross misdemeanor charge after authorities say he was caught driving with a license canceled as “inimical to public safety.”

According to a criminal complaint, Kevin Joseph Prozinski, 61, was stopped around 6:56 p.m. on March 30, 2025, by Deputy Colton Odash of the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office. The deputy was patrolling Highway 210 when he ran the plates of a 2013 Hyundai Elantra and discovered the registered owner’s license had been canceled under a status indicating the driver is a public safety threat.

Deputy Odash stopped the vehicle, confirmed Prozinski was the driver, and verified his license had indeed been canceled under the “inimical to public safety” designation.

Prozinski now faces up to 364 days in jail and/or a $3,000 fine for Driving After Cancellation – Inimical to Public Safety, a gross misdemeanor in Minnesota.
