Barnesville (trfnews.i234.me) – A Barnesville woman is facing criminal charges tied to alleged theft from a car dealership where she worked.

Kayla Jo Nosal, of Barnesville, Minnesota, is charged with felony theft of property and a misdemeanor attempted theft of property, according to court documents.

What Court Records Allege

Nosal worked in the accounting department at Corwin, a car dealership, according to the documents. Investigators allege she wrote three checks to herself for $610.69 each.

Court records say two of the checks were cashed. The third check was listed as an attempted theft, according to the complaint.

The documents did not list a total loss beyond the reported checks. The case remains in the court process.

What Nosal Told Investigators

According to court documents, Nosal was asked why she wrote the checks to herself. She told investigators she was struggling with finances.

The documents also say she spoke about addiction issues. Nosal reportedly said she had been using pills she bought from a tobacco store.
