Wimbledon, North Dakota (trfnews.i234.me) — A massive fire tore through the Arrowwood Prairie Co-op in Wimbledon, North Dakota, late Thursday night, leaving behind a fiery trail of destruction. Barnes County authorities requested immediate assistance after multiple semi-trucks caught fire around 10:00 p.m. along Highway 9 near mile marker 37, close to the co-op’s fertilizer plant.
According to officials, an employee working at the facility noticed the blaze and swiftly called 911. Thanks to the quick action of local fire departments, the flames were contained before they could spread further. Despite the intensity of the fire, no injuries were reported.
However, the damage was significant — four semi-trucks were completely destroyed in the blaze. Investigators on the scene have determined there is nothing suspicious about the cause of the fire at this time.
The Arrowwood Prairie Co-op, a well-known agricultural and energy supplier with locations across North Dakota, will now be facing the heavy task of cleaning up and recovering after this devastating event (Arrowwood Prairie Co-op Facebook).
