Barber Shop Showdown: Argument Over Haircut Ends in Shooting

FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Charges have been filed in a barber shop shooting on South 45th Street in Fargo on Saturday evening. Demarcos Rapley faces felony charges of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment after allegedly shooting fellow barber Mamamo Bangura in the leg. The incident reportedly stemmed from an argument over who would cut a customer’s children’s hair.

According to the criminal complaint, officers were dispatched at 6:59 PM to Allstar Barber Shop for a disturbance involving a firearm. Upon arrival, officers found Bangura on the floor, shot in the leg but conscious. He received medical attention from arriving emergency services.

A witness stated that he was getting his hair cut by Rapley and requested haircuts for his two children. When Bangura offered to cut the children’s hair, a verbal altercation ensued between him and Rapley. The witness saw Bangura lunge at Rapley, who then drew a gun and shot Bangura.

The victim expressed concern for his children, who were present during the shooting. Rapley was later arrested at his apartment. He is now facing charges of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
