A fundraiser has been launched for a rural Bagley, Minnesota resident after a Sunday night chimney fire damaged his home.
According to the fundraiser post, Mike Hromidko’s chimney caught fire at about 10 p.m. on 01/04/2026 near Stockyard Road.
The post says the chimney was destroyed. It also says he currently has no heat.
Chimney Destroyed, Heat Source Unusable
The fundraiser states the fire took out the chimney. It also says an oil furnace is now unusable.
Organizers say they are trying to raise funds to restore heat and address water damage in the basement.

Water Damage Concerns and Freezing Temperatures
The post says there is significant water damage in the basement. Items may need replacing.
Organizers also say they are hoping to prevent pipes from bursting if temperatures drop.
