Detroit Lakes, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me)—Brian Wayne Crabtree, a Bagley, Minnesota man, is facing two new felony charges after resisting arrest in Detroit Lakes when officers attempted to take him into custody.
According to court records, Crabtree was already facing charges of theft and possession of stolen property. He had been released but was scheduled to appear in court on January 29th, 2025. However, he failed to show up and did not arrive at the courthouse until the following day.
When Bailiffs of Security (BOS) approached him to advise that he was being placed under arrest, Crabtree attempted to flee toward the exit. Officers had to physically wrestle him to the ground to restrain him. One officer suffered a scraped hand during the struggle.
New Charges:
Crabtree is now facing two additional felony charges:
- Assault of a Peace Officer
- Failure to Appear on a Felony Charge
His legal troubles continue to mount as he awaits further court proceedings.
