Avoiding Arrest and Assaulting an Officer Charges

DEVILS LAKE, ND (trfnews.i234.me) A Devils Lake, North Dakota woman is facing criminal charges, after allegedly kicking an officer while being arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Larissa left bear of Devil’s Lake is facing two felony charges of preventing arrest resisting and simple assault of a peace officer and misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia a meth pipe according to court records on April 6 offers officers were dispatched to the Bremer Bank downtown uh left bear was sitting around putting rocks in a cup as she was told to move on she started walking away and then officers learned from dispatch that she had an outstanding warrant in Foster County left bear was informed of this and became passively resistant knelt down when officers attempted to place her in handcuffs a left Bear’s arms had to be forced behind her back as she was pulling away from officers while securing the uh hand first handcuff a left bear attempted to pull away while forcing her back onto her stomach left bear began kicking her feet and struck an officer on the left side of his uh uh face with her foot this caused brief pain no visible injury while checking left Bear’s Pockets prior to putting her in jail a uh glass smoking device was found in her bag the device tested positive for meth I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me
