the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office has just released the autopsy reports for a mother and son who died of what was initially believed to be an apparent murder-suicide in Orono Minnesota just west of Minneapolis the report says Gina summers aged 46 of 20 to 45 a Bay View place in Orono died at 8 p.m. Monday of ligature hanging the autopsy report also says five year old Jude Sommer Sandberg also died of ligature hanging the manner of death is listed as homicide the Hennepin County Medical Examiner and Orono Police Department are still investigating here’s the description of ligature hanging ligature strangulation is a type of strangulation that occurs with the use of a mask that is not the body weight in other words ligature strangulation does not require suspension of the physical body instead it requires the use of a cord like object such as a rope here’s the original report from RJ broadcasting and police in Arnall found the bodies of a 47 year old woman in a five year old boy while doing a welfare check Monday evening officers found the bodies inside a home on Bay View place just before 8:00 p.m. police aren’t looking for any suspects and are considering it a murder-suicide both the woman and boy were found hanged the father the boy had asked police to check in on them earlier because the child hadn’t been returned to him for parenting nobody answered so police returned later that evening at the request of the boy’s father and were let in by a family member
