Morrison County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — Authorities in Morrison County are investigating a bold ATM theft attempt in Pierz, MN, late Monday night.

According to the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at 11:16 p.m. at the Farmers & Merchants State Bank in Pierz. Suspect(s) allegedly hooked a chain to the ATM and attempted to pull it free using a stolen truck. However, they fled the scene before successfully loading the ATM.

Investigators describe the suspect vehicle as a light-colored, newer-style SUV with LED headlights. Authorities issued an Everbridge alert to the area but later confirmed the scene was secure.

The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office and Pierz Police continue to investigate. Anyone with information is urged to call (320) 632-9233.
