Arrest Made in Arson Case Involving Bridge Fire Near Dent, MN

DENT, MN (trfnews.i234.me) The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department says they’ve arrested a suspect in a Sunday morning bridge fire on Star Lake near Dent, Minnesota.
ryan johnson has been arrested in connection to this bridge fire on star lake near dent minnesota early sunday morning it’s been ruled an arson fire this now in from the otter tail county sheriff’s department who says on sunday eight minutes past midnight they received a report that a bridge located near county highway 41 and boathouse drive was on fire one and a half miles south of state highway 108. the caller reported seeing a gas can on the bridge and also observed a vehicle leaving the area rescue responded to the scene and extinguished the fire otter tail county deputies also responded to the scene and the state fire marshal’s office was contacted for assistance in investigating the incident it appeared gasoline was deliberately poured onto the bridge and set a fire several propane tanks were also found near the bridge a large portion of the bridge structure is wood deputies and the state fire marshal’s office conducted an investigation throughout the day sunday and later an arrest of ryan curtis johnson for arson was made johnson was taken to the ottertail county jail johnson owns a house in the 38 thousand block of county highway 41 very near the bridge there was damage to the bridge structure and traffic is being detoured by the highway department the bridge will be closed pending an inspection the reason for johnson’s actions are being investigated the investigation is ongoing with the expected execution of several search warrants again ryan johnson arrested as a suspect in connection with this bridge fire on star lake near dent minnesota i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
