an armed homeless man caused some tense moments in fargo this morning listen from fargo police at 4 34 a.m on this wednesday morning a male entered the home in the area of the 1500 block of 10th street north he was carrying a handgun but did not threaten anyone it was unclear why the mail was there the mail left without further incident and police were called to locate him while responding to locate the suspect they notified the north dakota state university due to its proximity responding officers were able to identify the mail and learn he was on probation with a gps ankle monitor officers set up a perimeter at 6 49 a.m the suspect entered a home in the area of the 1500 block of 12th street north the caller there said the mail seemed intoxicated he did not splay display a gun at the time while searching for him officers located a handgun behind a home in the area they continued working with the partners at north dakota parole and probation to determine the male’s location via the gps monitor and in the backyard of a home in the area of 1400 block of north university drive they found him officers approached the mail and arrested him without further incident he was arrested for two counts of felony criminal trespass as well as a felon in possession of firearm uh the arrested suspect is daniel fike grinder 35 years old with no permanent address i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
