Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Arjen Jovanny Zeledon Moreno, 26, from Detroit Lakes, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for a gross misdemeanor DWI. A felony charge of fleeing a peace officer was dropped in a plea agreement.

On March 16, 2024, Moreno was reported driving erratically in a black and green Dodge Charger. Despite police attempts to stop him, Moreno continued driving, weaving, and braking erratically. The deputy eventually used a PIT maneuver to stop him. Moreno, who showed signs of intoxication and had a blood alcohol concentration of .19%, was arrested.

On June 5, 2024, Judge Gretchen Thilmony sentenced Moreno to 364 days in jail, with 293 days stayed for four years and credit for 71 days served. He was fined $1,000, plus $440 in court fees and $1,084 in restitution. Moreno is also required to complete a comprehensive assessment, follow recommendations, attend a Mothers Against Drunk Driving Impact Panel, and is placed on unsupervised probation for four years.
