Marshall County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A heated encounter at a gas station in Argyle has led to felony charges for a local man accused of making violent threats.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Marshall County District Court, 36-year-old Gabriel Dean Labine (DOB: 01/11/1988) is facing a felony charge of Terroristic Threats – Reckless Disregard of Risk after allegedly threatening a gas station employee by saying he would “come back and shoot [him] in the head.”
The incident occurred on July 17, 2025, around 2:13 p.m., when Deputy Wyatt Nelson with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Clark Gas Station in Argyle for a disturbance.
Upon arrival, Deputy Nelson interviewed a gas station employee, who reported that Labine became irate after being offered a tire gauge while filling his tires. A gas station employee said Labine began shouting about politics, marijuana, and yelled, “Go Trump.” When the gas station employee responded with the same phrase, Labine allegedly escalated and said, “Don’t talk s* about my dad or I’ll come back and shoot you in the head.”**
Fearing for his safety, the gas station employee stepped away to the back of the shop. A witness confirmed that Labine was yelling and referenced something about a “shot in the head” before being asked to leave the premises.
Labine was later located by Sgt. Mark Ellerbusch and Sheriff Jason Boman, who conducted a traffic stop. Labine denied making any threats, claiming it was a misunderstanding. Nevertheless, he was arrested and transported to the Pennington County Jail, where he was booked on threats of violence.
Labine is now charged with:
-
Count I: Terroristic Threats – Reckless Disregard of Risk
(Felony – up to 5 years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine)
