ARDENHURST TWP, Itasca County: Medical Emergency Causes Pickup to Crash Into Tree | trfnews.i234.me

ARDENHURST TOWNSHIP, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) – A 67-year-old man from Corcoran, MN, lost control of his 2022 Ford F-150 Pickup on Tuesday afternoon, July 1st, after suffering a medical emergency while driving northbound on Highway 46 near Milepost 41.

The vehicle veered off the road to the left and struck a tree in Itasca County. Both the driver, William James McGarry, and the passenger, Jean Marie McGarry, 69, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Essentia Deer River Hospital.

Both occupants were wearing seat belts, and airbags deployed. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Responding agencies included the Northome Fire Department, Itasca County Sheriff’s Office, and Essentia Deer River Ambulance.
