APPLE VALLEY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – An early morning death investigation is underway after a man was found shot on a sidewalk in Apple Valley.
At 3:12 a.m. on Sunday, July 6, officers responded to Pennock Avenue and 138th Street after reports of a man lying on the ground. They found him bleeding heavily with a chest injury, believed to be a gunshot wound, according to initial emergency radio traffic.
Despite lifesaving efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Apple Valley Police and forensic teams remained on site throughout the morning, collecting evidence.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will confirm the man’s identity and the official cause of death. Meanwhile, police are asking neighbors with security footage between 2–3 a.m. to review it for anything suspicious and call 952-322-2323 if they have information.
The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests or suspect details have been announced.
