Apple Valley (trfnews.i234.me) – A brutal homicide is under investigation in Dakota County after 20-year-old Aron Isait Medina Rojas allegedly stabbed 21-year-old Daniel Isaac Aguilar to death during a sidewalk confrontation around 3:12 a.m. on July 6, 2025.
Police say surveillance footage shows Medina Rojas closing in on Aguilar and stabbing him in the chest. Aguilar reportedly pleaded, “I’m f*ing walking home bro. Let me be,”** before collapsing after a punch to the throat.
Witnesses—including Aguilar’s girlfriend and her friend—told investigators the group had been arguing earlier that night at a club in Minneapolis. An autopsy revealed multiple stab wounds and blunt trauma. Medina Rojas is now charged with second-degree murder and may be attempting to flee to Mexico.
Authorities are warning the public to be on the lookout for a 2017 gray Chrysler 300, MN license plate SKU892. If seen, call 911 immediately. Tips can be reported to the Apple Valley Police Department at (952) 322-2323.
If convicted, Medina Rojas faces up to 40 years in prison.
