FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Anthony Kruger, 34, from Breckenridge, Minnesota, has pleaded guilty to federal gun charges after being indicted by a federal grand jury in May 2023. Kruger, a convicted felon with multiple prior charges, including forgery, escape, and drug-related crimes, was prohibited from owning a firearm. He faces up to 15 years in prison with sentencing scheduled for January 2025.

Kruger is still considered the only person of interest in the shooting death of 40-year-old Jeremiah Medenwald outside Wahpeton’s Stern Sports Arena in January 2023. Medenwald was shot while sitting in his car after the two men were reportedly together at Dakota Magic Casino. The investigation remains ongoing, and while initial murder charges against Kruger were dismissed, authorities continue to review the case.
