Fargo (trfnews.i234.me) — A disturbing scene unfolded on the morning of July 4th in downtown Fargo, Cass County, as police responded to a street fight on the 100 block of North Broadway. Though the physical altercation had broken up by the time officers arrived at 10:05 a.m., one man reported a terrifying encounter that led to a felony charge.

The alleged victim told police that one of the men involved, later identified as Shawn M. Albert, had pointed a handgun directly at his face. Albert, originally from Alabama, was soon located and taken into custody.

Upon his arrest, officers discovered that Albert was carrying a Glock 9mm pistol. He now faces a felony terrorizing charge. During police questioning, Albert admitted he had been drinking heavily and claimed he couldn’t remember pointing the firearm at anyone.

This incident adds to growing concerns about rising street violence and gun threats in Fargo’s city center.
