Thief River Falls, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – On March 15 at 12:33 p.m., police received a report of an accident at the intersection of a Highway 59 frontage road and Dale Street. Lora Filpula of Thief River Falls was driving a 2014 Ford Focus northbound on the frontage road. According to the report, she stopped at a stop sign but couldn’t see any traffic coming from Highway 59 due to a vehicle obstructing her view. As Filpula drove away from the stop sign, her car was struck by a 2002 Chevy TrailBlazer driven by Joel Borsvold of Thief River Falls, who had just turned onto Dale Street from Highway 59. Filpula suffered minor injuries and was cited for failure to yield.
