A Closer Look at the Illegal Guns Used in a Deadly Fargo Shooting

Amire Logan

FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A video of the June 24th shooting in Fargo that resulted in the death of Zion Brooks has brought attention to the issue of illegal firearms. The suspected shooter, Amire Logan, has been charged with two felony counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.

The incident involved a ghost gun, a firearm without a serial number, and a Taurus 9mm pistol found near Brooks’ body. Authorities have yet to confirm whether Brooks’ gun was legally owned. Additionally, a .45 caliber shell casing discovered at the scene is linked to a .45 caliber pistol and a ghost gun rifle found at Logan’s residence.

Court documents reveal Logan called his mother immediately after the shooting, stating, “A guy put a gun in my face, and I did what I had to do, Mom. I shot him back.” The state’s attorney will now determine if Logan will face further charges related to the shooting itself.

The case highlights the prevalence of illegal firearms and the complexities involved in such incidents.

  1. "…and a flat-out illegal ghost gun" is a blatantly false statement.

Homemade firearms for personal use, or so called "ghost guns," have never been illegal and don't require serial numbers… It's only illegal to remove a serial number on a firearm manufactured with one or sell a homemade firearm.

  2. Neil you need to re edit this video. Learn something from someone who knows about firearms. As a last resort talk to the ATF office and at least get the jargon down.
