Dakota County (trfnews.i234.me) — Jamell Maurice Mitchell, born January 24, 1996, is now classified as a wanted fugitive by the Minnesota Department of Corrections as of March 17, 2025.
Mitchell was convicted in a weapons case in Dakota County under court file number 19HA-CR-20-2082 and sentenced on September 9, 2020. He was released as recently as March 10, 2025, but has now violated his release terms.
DOC Agent Sharhonda York is leading the case, and Mitchell is currently the subject of an active statewide fugitive alert due to his prior weapons conviction.
Authorities are urging the public to report any information immediately and caution against approaching Mitchell.
