Bemidji, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me)— We have an urgent update on a dramatic house fire that TRF News first reported Sunday evening, just after 7:00 p.m.
According to Bemidji Fire Chief Justin Sherwood, emergency crews rushed to the 600 block of Third Street Northwest, where a two-story residential building was consumed by heavy smoke billowing from the front door. The situation escalated quickly, and initial fears arose that someone might still be trapped inside the burning home.
Firefighters conducted a rapid search, but to everyone’s relief, all residents had made it out safely. Despite this, the home and its contents suffered catastrophic damage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire, but early findings suggest it may have been accidental.
Did you know? House fires spread incredibly fast—within just two minutes, flames can turn deadly, and within five minutes, an entire home can be engulfed. Always have an emergency escape plan!
