WINTER ROAD COLLISION ON I-90 IN OLMSTED COUNTY – ONE HOSPITALIZED!

Olmsted County (trfnews.i234.me) witnessed another winter road collision on Wednesday afternoon when two vehicles crashed while traveling westbound on Interstate 90.

The accident occurred on March 5, 2025, at 12:02 PM near Milepost 224 in Eyota Township.

Crash Details & Emergency Response

Authorities report that a 2022 Volkswagen Atlas and a 2021 Toyota RAV4 were both heading westbound on I-90 when the vehicles collided on snow- and ice-covered roads.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.

Injuries & Hospitalization

  • Douglas Everett (60) and passenger Kerstin Everett (57) of Garrison, CA, were in the Volkswagen Atlas. They were not injured.
  • Pierce Haas (27) of Saint Charles, MN, was driving the Toyota RAV4. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital for treatment.

Authorities confirmed that:
✅ All occupants were wearing seatbelts
✅ Airbags deployed in the Toyota RAV4
❌ Alcohol was NOT a factor
