Beltrami County, MN ( trfnews.i234.me) – A brazen Sunday morning burglary in Bemidji led to the swift arrest of Joseph Fairbanks of Bemidji and Joseph Bastedo Jr. of Onamia, who are now facing serious criminal charges.
According to court documents, police responded to a burglary on the 700 block of Grand Avenue Southeast after the homeowner witnessed the crime live on surveillance video. The footage showed two suspects inside the home, stealing items and a vehicle from the driveway.
Acting quickly, police tracked down the stolen vehicle and arrested the suspects in Bemidji. A hatchet, which had been taken from the home, was also found in the vehicle.
- Joseph Bastedo Jr. has been charged with felony burglary.
- Joseph Fairbanks is facing felony charges for burglary and vehicle theft, along with additional misdemeanor charges.
Both suspects are now in custody as they await their court hearings.
