Hayfield Township, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — A two-vehicle crash occurred on February 26, 2025, at 8:24 AM on Highway 30 near Milepost 205 in Hayfield Township, Dodge County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2024 Freightliner garbage truck, driven by 38-year-old Darren Allan Reddel of Riceville, IA, was entering Highway 30 from a nearby driveway when it collided with an eastbound 2011 Ford Ranger, driven by 90-year-old Raymond Richard Kyllo of Hayfield, MN.
The airbag deployed in the Ford Ranger, and Kyllo sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin. The garbage truck driver was not injured.
Authorities confirm that both drivers were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
Responding agencies included the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Hayfield Ambulance.
