Midway Township, MN (trfnews.i234.me)—A 17-year-old driver was injured Thursday morning after losing control on an icy stretch of Interstate 35 in St. Louis County, leading to a collision with a semi-truck.

Crash Details

  • The accident occurred at 11:11 a.m. on February 6, 2025, southbound on I-35 at Milepost 247 near Midway Township.
  • A Chevrolet Impala attempted to pass a Mack Anthem semi-truck in the left lane, but lost control on the icy road, causing the vehicle to spin out.
  • The semi-truck was unable to avoid the Impala and collided with its driver’s side.
  • The Impala came to a stop on the right shoulder, while the semi-truck continued south and exited onto Midway Road.
